Happy Frick’ng Friday 🏳️🌈
The first week of Pride month has been packed, and the rest of the month looks even busier. I attended the Hot & Steamy Book Event in Portland, where I met a ton of great authors and lovely readers, many new to queer romance. I look forward to going again next year. Here’s my booth, and I’m so thankful my spouse came with to help set up and be my PA for the event!
This week has been all about getting words in to finish my next release, and the end of the school year. My gremlins are going into sixth and eighth grade, and I just finished the hardest year in my fifteen years in Education. I did agree to do Summer School, but that’s easy compared to my past ten months. My classroom is cleaned out, words are flowing, and I’m ready for the month/year ahead!

A Frack’ng new pen name!
Did you know I launched a new pen name? A Frack!
Yes, this means I’m Frick & Frack… Because why not have fun with it?
The first release for my new pen name is out on Smashwords: Their Little Brother, my first taboo romance! After years of putting off having a third pen name and months of waiting for release, this book was fun to write. It’s dark and sweet, kinky and loving; a dichotomy much like the twins in the story.
I’m going to be real and tell you that this release has me nervous. I’ve never published taboo romance and it’s been a few years since I’ve written dark romance (Enemy and Captured). Also, Their Little Brother has a trans main character, which is a hard sell to a lot of the MM romance world even to people who love taboo.
So far, all of the reviews are five stars for this smutty novella, which is only available on Smashwords. If you read Their Little Brother and loved it, I hope you’ll leave a review to help others find this story!

A Frick’ng First for Release Day!
Don’t “Leave Me” unread this release day, Fricksters!
It’s Fricking release day for Leave Me, my first shifter and Motorcycle Club romance! After years of plotting and months of writing, this book is special to me and I hope everyone loves it like I do.
I’m going to be vulnerable for a minute and say this release has me nervous. “This is your twenty-something release, how can you be nervous?” you ask! For a few reasons… First, I’ve never published paranormal romance or true A/B/O besides a little bit of heat and knotting in His Furry Heat. What if people don’t like how I wrote shifters in my world? And Leave Me as a trans main character, which is a hard sell to a lot of the MM romance world even if he is very masculine and has a dick.
The biggest reason I’m anxious? This is the first novel I’ve released that’s not part of a multi-author collaboration in almost 2 1/2 years. Learning how to promote myself solo again is not easy. I’m used to cheering on my fellow authors and having readers migrate between our books. Besides my X Club series, all of my books have been connected to others.
So, if you read Leave Me and love it, I hope you’ll leave a review to help others find this story!

Can you believe it’s already July? In addition to the shifter novel I’ve been working on all year, I also had surgery on Monday. It was a very much wanted surgery, but it’s still a big deal when they put you asleep…wait, that sounds like I’m dead (this post is pre-scheduled, but I’m I’m very much alive). You’ll find me on social media daily, but I wanted to be sure to get this published, because I’m looking forward to sharing my next release!

✨A Wrap On 2024 ✨
✨Who else is ready for 2025? ✨
Since 2024 was a year full of highs and lows, personally and professionally, I’m both optimistic and reluctant to see what’s in store. The past two years have been all collaborations, so I plan to write some of the plots I’ve been sitting on, starting with a shifter motorcycle club set in rural Northern California. Beyond that series, my 2025 is a blanks late I can’t wait to write on!
✨Professional Wrap-up ✨
Since I like numbers, so long as it doesn’t involve paying bills, 2024 ends with 22 published works under two pens names. This includes 9 novels and 6 novellas writing Romance as R.A. Frick!
This year I wrote three very different stories for anthologies! The first, a contemporary Truth or Dare Cinderella story, which I plan to edit and release as a novella in early 2025. The second was a Twisted Pride retelling of Hansel & Gretel, with a trans “Rhett” and his hunky woodcutter neighbor, as well as a touch of magic. The third was all kink, in the Naughty November Charity Anthology, and I’m proud of my story about two neurodivergent men trying out new kinks!
With two novels (Cruise to Cock Island and Aftercare at Randy’s) and two short stories on top of the three novellas, I’m ready for a rest in the new year!
